Part of a series I created, Cowboy Blues is built around nostalgia and the distorted and romanticized view that another era or time was better than the one we currently reside in.  I often used cowboy and astronaut imagery for this series. As a kid, these were the two things I wanted to be when I grew up. My understanding of what both were/are was built upon myth and movies and offered a way to escape my current life and all the struggles that come with it.
